Pegasus Research & Technologies (PRT) was founded in 2010 by Dr. Kevin Heffner to provide research and engineering services to the Canadian Aerospace and Defense sector. Initial projects included building a simulation testbed for UAV experimentation using artificial intelligence technologies and desigining a C2 to simulation information exchange infrastructure for Defence Research and Development Canada. PRT has also provided services to the French Ministry of Defense and to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Science and Technology Office (STO) for technical standards development and military simulation and training support. In recent years, our service offering has grown to include support for civil and commercial aviation simulation and training and robotics applications.

We are a small group of experienced aerospace and robotics engineers with a particular expertise in modeling and simulation. With solid foundations and experience in both research and industry, we bring a systematic approach to executing industrial research projects by applying research findings toward the creation of new or improved products and processes. At the same time, we also bring practical industry and engineering experience in support of government defense and security research activities. We have successfully applied our collective experience to complete research, technology investigation and capability development projects for aircraft OEMs, flight simulator manufacturers, defense contractors, civil and military crew training providers and government agencies in Canada and internationally.
